Aiming to Solve Problems 　　This is the fourth article by Our Commentator on deepening the "three-emphasis" education in the spirit of rectification. Following are excerpts of this article: Jiang Zemin has pointed out emphatically that the "three-emphasis" education (emphasizing theoretical study, political awareness and healthy ethics) should be aimed at solving problems. This is an extremely important guideline for the "three-emphasis" education now developing in-depth. 　　This guiding ideology is being conscientiously carried out by the majority of leading bodies and leading cadres involved in the first group participating in the "three-emphasis" education. They have thus laid a solid foundation for the solutions of outstanding problems. 　　The current "three-emphasis" education is a self-education in Marxist theory conducted among leading cadres in light of new actual circumstances. However, the process of self-education carried out in light of new actuality is a process of using theory to solve practical problems, and a process of realizing self-education through solving problems. Each leading body and each leading cadre must earnestly solve several existing outstanding problems, especially problems which the masses are mostly complain about and which adversely affect the current work of reform and construction, it is necessary and possible to achieve this. 　　The Party Central Committee has called for efforts to achieve practical results in four aspects of ideology, politics, style of work and discipline from the ongoing "three-emphasis" education and solve problems in these four aspects. Each leading body and each leading cadre must, in light of the actuality of their own region, department and themselves, accurately find out and firmly grasp the existing outstanding problems and solve them conscientiously. 　　Earnestly solving outstanding problems existing in Party spirit and Party style of work is a process of remolding subjective world and enhancing the tempering of Party spirit, it is also a process of very arduous and even painful ideological transformation. The opinions of the masses play an important promotional role in leading cadres' understanding and solving their own problems. 　　Solving problems, in the final analysis, depends on leading cadres' own subjective efforts.
