Jin Renqing

Born in 1944. Native of Suzhou, Jiangsu Province.

Graduated from Financial Department of Central Institute of Finance and Banking, Beijing in 1966.

1968-1980: Served as deputy director of Grain Bureau, and deputy director of Financial Office, of Yongsheng County, Yunnan Province.

1980-1983: Magistrate of Yongsheng County.

1983-1985: Deputy commissioner of Lijiang Administrative Office, Yunnan.

1985-1991: Vice governor of Yunnan Province.

1991-1995: Vice minister of Finance.

1995: Deputy secretary general of State Council.

1995-1998: Vice mayor of Beijing.

1997: Elected deputy secretary of CPC Beijing Municipal Committee.

1998: Appointed director of State Administration of Taxation.

March 2003: Appointed minister of Finance.
