JAKARTA, April 23 -- Indonesian President Joko Widodo said Thursday that the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank could help ensure financial availability for infrastructure development.
Speaking at the closing ceremony of the Asian-African Summit, Joko said that leaders and delegates at the two-day summit worked hard on matters including "ensuring the financial availability for infrastructure development, among others through the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank."
The Asian-African Summit 2015, held on April 22-23, concluded here on Thursday.
President Joko of the host nation added that participants to the summit also addressed issues including strengthening and advancing a more peaceful and fair world order, working towards the achievement of mutually-beneficial cooperation, bridging development gaps, and realizing the independence of Palestine.
