BEIJING, March 19-- "New normal" of China's economy which shifted gear from the previous high speed to a medium-to-high speed growth brings new opportunities to inland Ningxia, said Liu Hui, a NPC deputy and Chairman of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region of northwest China.
In an interview with Xinhuanet during the just concluded "Two Sessions" of China's legislature and political consultation body, Liu Hui held that a slight decrease of growth rate target means an expansion of room for Ningxia's structural adjustment.
China has supported its Midwest with infrastructure investment that helped push the construction of high-speed rails and intercity rail transportation, said Liu Hui.
Liu Hui briefed about the "1561" Project that Ningxia intends to carry out, including the building of 15 backbone industrial parks, 60 leading corporations and 1,000 specialized companies in consideration of market demand and resource advantages.
Ningxia will also advance agriculture, finance, tourism, e-commerce, logistics, real estate and health industry, she said.
Having been approved by the local legislative and political consultative sessions, Ningxia will upgrade the City Belt along the Yellow River, set up towns along the Qingshui River as new growth spot, build beautiful countryside and strengthen ecological environment protection, she added.
