BEIJING, Dec. 18 (Xinhuanet) -- Promotion of domestic demand, optimizing of population structure and increase of investment growth and technology input are the three significant factors affecting China’s economic prospect for the next decade.

This was the view expressed by Yao Yang, Dean of National School of Development, Peking University, at Xinhuanet Thinker cross-border meeting on the economic new normal Wednesday.

Meanwhile, inequality in education and huge wealth gap could be the prominent social problems hindering China’s development in the next decade, he said.

This meeting was held on Wednesday at Xinhuanet headquarters, presided over by Xinhuanet CEO Tian Shubin. Thinker’s 4.0 version was also launched.

Thinker is a Xinhuanet-operated social media platform aiming to build China’s high standard think tank and an online platform for idea spreading.
