BEIJING, May 23 -- China registered a deficit of 8.9 billion U.S. dollars in its international trade in services in April.
The nation's total revenues from service trade in April stood at 20.2 billion dollars, while expenditure hit 29.1 billion dollars, according to data released on Friday by the State Administration of Foreign Exchange.
China reported a deficit of 41.7 billion dollars in international service trade in the first four months of 2014, said the administration.
Trade in services includes areas such as transport, travel, telecommunications, finance and construction.
