A Guan Gong themed restaurant opened in Taiyuan, north China's Shanxi Province, March 26, 2014. The restaurant is decorated with paintings and sculptures of Guan Gong. Private rooms are named after place names in the Three Kingdoms Period of China, including "Taoyuan", "Jingzhou", "Longzhong", "Huarongdao", etc. The restaurant will hold regular Guan Gong cultural salons to provide a platform for Guan Gong culture lovers.
Guan Gong (Lord Guan), or Guan Di (Emperor Guan), is a term of respect for Guan Yu (courtesy name Guan Yunchang), who was a senior general of the Shu State in the Three Kingdoms period. He was famous for loyalty and righteousness.
