The National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), China's top economic planner, will not adjust the country's benchmark fuel prices, the upper limit for retail prices of gasoline and diesel, on Wednesday, according to energy analysts. Under the current fuel pricing mechanism, introduced on March 26, 2013, China's benchmark fuel prices are pegged to crude oil prices on international markets and adjusted every 10 working days. But the adjustment will not happen on schedule if the change is calculated to be less than 50 yuan per tonne. (Xinhua/Zhang Duan) |
