Chinese President Xi Jinping has met with UK Prime Minister David Cameron in the Netherlands.
Xi Jinping said Cameron's visit to China last December opened a new chapter in their countries' relations. He said he hoped China and the UK will maintain high-level exchanges and strengthen cooperation.
Xi Jinping proposed the creation of flagship projects in nuclear power, high speed railways, high-tech industry and finance, with more collaboration in education, technology and the media.
He also hoped the UK can play a leading role in advancing a feasibility study for a China-Europe free trade zone. Cameron said his country is committed to developing relations with China, and hoped high-level meetings will produce more achievements.
