BEIJING, April 15 -- China and Belarus vowed to strengthen military relations in Beijing on Tuesday.
The pledge came from a meeting between Xu Qiliang, vice chairman of the Central Military Commission and Oleg Belokonev, chief of the General Staff and first deputy defence minister of Belarus.
China and Belarus established a comprehensive strategic partnership in 2013, which set the political foundation for deepening bilateral military friendly cooperation, Xu said,
He called on the two sides to work together to expand practical cooperation to further the military-to-military relations and bilateral ties at large.
Belokonev said the friendship between the two countries was based on mutual trust and understanding, and expressed hope of increased cooperation in training.
