JAKARTA, March 6 -- Indonesia deplored the recent terror act in Chinese southwestern city of Kunming's train station that killed 29 civilians, injured 143 others, and reminded the international community that terror acts are real and threaten the world's security and peace, an official statement said here on Thursday.
"Indonesian government conveyed its deepest sympathy and condolences to the Chinese government and families of the victims, " a statement released by the Indonesian foreign affairs ministry said.
The Indonesian government reaffirmed its commitment and readiness to further cooperate with the Chinese government in bilateral and multilateral manners in fighting against all forms of terror acts and conducts, the statement said.
The Chinese government has announced that the gruesome attack on innocent people in the train station on March 1 was perpetrated by a group of terrorist. Authorities said evidence at the crime scene showed that the terrorist attack was orchestrated by Xinjiang separatist forces.
