BEIJING, Dec. 27 -- Chinese top political advisor Yu Zhengsheng met on Friday with Tep Ngorn, Second Vice President of the Cambodian Senate.
Yu, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), said during the meeting that China and Cambodia are good neighbors and partners and they share mutual interests.
He spoke highly of the results of bilateral cooperation, saying that China underscores relations with Cambodia and is determined to promote bilateral ties.
China will offer firm support for Cambodia's stability and growth, he said, noting that China will pursue developing a good-neighborly relationship and partnership with neighboring countries.
He voiced hope for further communication and cooperation between the CPPCC and Cambodian Senate in a bid to facilitate each other's own national development and cement bilateral ties.
Ngorn said China is a reliable partner of Cambodia and the Senate is willing to maintain close contact with the CPPCC for more pragmatic cooperation and closer bilateral ties.
