BEIJING, Sept. 2 -- Chinese Vice Premier Wang Yang met with Vicente Gonzalez Loscertales, secretary-general of the Bureau of International Expositions (BIE), here on Monday.
Wang spoke highly of the important role played by the BIE in world expos as well as its friendly relationship with China.
He said the Chinese government attached high importance to and will support the international horticultural exhibition to be held in Beijing in 2019.
Loscertales said he appreciated China's contribution to global expos and hopes that the 2019 exhibition will be a success.
