BEIJING, April 21 -- The disciplinary watchdog of the Communist Party of China (CPC) on Monday said that 142 cases relating to breaches of the eight-point anti-bureaucracy and formalism guidelines were reported from April 14 to 18.
A total of 139 cases were uncovered by disciplinary watchdogs in 24 provincial-level regions, including Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei Province and Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps.
The other three cases were disclosed in China National Petroleum Corporation, the country's largest oil company, and Aluminum Corporation of China.
On April 8, the CPC's Central Commission for Discipline Inspection launched a new section on its website, inviting the public to report cases of corruption and misconduct. The website, www.ccdi.gov.cn, names officials who have breached guidelines every Monday.
According to the commission, the public is encouraged to expose officials who use public money for gift cards, travel and dining and accept online consumption cards.
