BEIJING, April 14 -- The disciplinary watchdog of the Communist Party of China (CPC) on Monday reported 220 cases relating to breaches of the eight-point anti-bureaucracy and formalism guidelines from April 8 to 11.

The cases were uncovered by disciplinary watchdogs in 24 provincial-level regions, including Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei Province, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region and Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps.

On April 8, the CPC's Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI) launched a new section on its website, inviting the public to report cases of corruption and misconduct to be followed up with tight disciplinary inspections.

The website, www.ccdi.gov.cn, also published details of 183 cases of misconduct on April 8, and said it would name officials who have breached the guidelines every Monday.

According to the CCDI, the public is encouraged to expose officials who use public money for gift cards, travel and dining and accept online consumption cards.
