HOHHOT, March 15 -- The marine corps with the Chinese navy on Friday concluded a war game to practice combat abilities in cold environments, according to military sources.
In a highly spontaneous simulation of a city assault, one side deployed automatic reconnaissance aircraft and special forces to collect intelligence on the other side before weeding out its defense facilities and engaging in combat in streets and buildings.
Navy commander Wu Shengli said the drill was aimed at honing the navy's cross-regional mobility and abilities in extended combat in strange, extremely cold environments.
