BEIJING, March 27 -- Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) members are holding a second expert panel consultation on anti-terrorism in Beijing, Defense Ministry spokesman Geng Yansheng said on Thursday.

The meeting, running from Tuesday to Friday, is being attended by defense experts from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and China, Geng said at a regular news briefing.

All sides studied the joint anti-terrorism military exercise program and made a detailed plan on logistical equipment support, he said.

Their first meeting was held on Feb. 11 in Beijing.

The SCO, an inter-governmental organization, was founded in China's Shanghai on June 15, 2001. It is composed of the five countries mentioned above and Uzbekistan. It also has Afghanistan, India, Iran, Mongolia and Pakistan as its observer states, and Belarus, Turkey and Sri Lanka as dialogue partners.
