Advisory: Agendas for NPC, CPPCC annual sessions -- March 6

BEIJING, March 5 -- Following are the agendas for the second sessions of the 12th National People's Congress (NPC) and the 12th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) on Thursday.

NPC:

-- NPC deputies will hold panel discussions about the report on government work delivered by Premier Li Keqiang on Wednesday.

-- At 9 a.m., panel discussions about the government work report by delegations from Anhui, Guizhou, Ningxia and Shanxi will be open to media.

-- At 3 p.m., panel discussions about the government work report by delegations from Xinjiang, Fujian, Sichuan, Shanghai, Hainan, Chongqing, Hubei, Macao, Guangxi, Henan, Shandong and Beijing will be open to journalists. Details of the locations are available at www.npc.gov.cn/pc/12_2

-- At 9 a.m., Finance Minister Lou Jiwei will give a press conference on fiscal and tax reform at the press center of the two sessions.

-- At 10:30 a.m., Agriculture Minister Han Changfu will give a press conference on rural reform at the press center of the two sessions.

-- At 4 p.m., Minister in charge of National Health and Family Planning Commission Li Bin will will give a press conference at the press center of the two sessions.

CPPCC:

-- At 9 a.m., members of the 12th CPPCC National Committee will hold panel discussions on the government work report.

-- At 3 p.m., members of the CPPCC National Committee will continue panel discussions on the government work report, the national economic and social development plan and the central and local budgets.

-- At 9 a.m., panel discussions about the government work report will be open to journalists from Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and foreign countries in six locations. Details of the activities can be found at www.cppcc.people.com.cn.

-- At 2:30 p.m., five political advisors will give a press conference on major economic issues. They include renowned economists Li Yining, Chen Xiwen, deputy director of the Central Agricultural Work Leading Team and Li Yanhong, chairman and chief executive officer of Baidu.
