KUALA LUMPUR, May 12 -- Malaysia's Ministry of Transport is preparing a joint report with the Defence Ministry and the Foreign Ministry to table to the cabinet on Wednesday.
Malaysian Defence Minister and acting Transport Minister Hishammuddin Hussein said here Monday in a statement that the paperwork will report on the outcome of the Tripartite Ministerial Meeting and the Senior Official MH370 Tripartite Meeting held recently among Australia, Malaysia and China.
He said the paper would cover the suggested way forward for the new search phase which would include the mapping of the seabed of the southern Indian Ocean.
As to the meetings in Canberra, Hishammuddin said representatives had a very positive outcome.
As to the request of the families of those onboard for further information, Hishammuddin said those information might rouse more speculation, which would have negative effect. He said it was better for the International Panel of Experts to decide which information should be made public.
