BEIJING, May 6 -- A pair of giant pandas on loan would arrive in Kuala Lumpur before Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak's visit to China, announced Chinese ambassador to Malaysia Huang Huikang on May 4.
This show China attaches great importance to the 40th anniversary of China-Malaysia diplomatic relation, Huang said.
The China Wildlife Conservation Association and Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment of Malaysia signed an accord on June15, 2013, on the loan of the giant pandas for 10 years.
The Malaysia Panda Exhibition Hall has already been finished to welcome the guests.
It covers an area of 1.6 acres with a total investment of 25 million ringgit (about 8 million U.S. dollars).
