This year marks the 15th anniversary of the establishment of the China-Vietnam comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership. The two sides on Tuesday announced a new positioning of relations between the two parties and countries and agreed to build a China-Vietnam community with a shared future that carries strategic significance on the basis of deepening the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership between the two sides.
Both China and Vietnam are socialist countries led by communist parties. Connected by mountains and rivers, they have shared ideals, the same social system and similar paths of development.
At the invitation of General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee Nguyen Phu Trong and State President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Vo Van Thuong, General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee and President Xi Jinping will pay a state visit to Vietnam from Tuesday to Wednesday. China is the first country with which Vietnam has built a comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership, and Vietnam is also the first Southeast Asian country with which China has established this relationship framework.
