Long-term peace and stability demonstrates strength of socialist system

The recently concluded second China International Import Expo (CIIE) caught the attention of the whole world. While demonstrating China’s resolve to expand opening-up, the event, which boasted larger scale, broader participation and greater popularity than the first one held last year, has vividly reflected the enormous strength and vitality of Chinese economy.

CIIE demonstrates benefits of opening-up

The second China International Import Expo (CIIE) recently raised its curtain, and Chinese President Xi Jinping delivered a keynote speech at the opening ceremony, proposing that all countries work together to build an open world economy through cooperation, with innovation, and for mutual benefits. The exhibition halls of the second CIIE, presenting the splendor of state-of-the-art technologies, are revealing the charm of openness.

China contributes to global intellectual property rights protection

China has developed a path of intellectual property rights (IPR) protection with Chinese characteristics through perseverance and constant exploration. The country was ranked 14th among more than 100 economies worldwide in a global innovation ranking in 2019 by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), moving up 11 spots from 2016.
