Development holds the master key to solving all problems, and the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), focusing on the fundamental issue of development, is taking the responsibility to release development potential of each country. The BRI has achieved fruitful results since its proposal 6 years ago, from and by which the world has acquired development impetus and expanded the path to prosperity.
MOSCOW, April 20 (Xinhua) -- The Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) has facilitated the alignment of development strategies between China and Russia and raised bilateral relations to a higher level, Chinese Ambassador to Russia Li Hui said. He made the remark in an interview with Xinhua on Friday ahead of Russian President Vladimir Putin's trip to China for the second Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation (BRF) slated for April 25-27 in Beijing.
“As a bond bringing countries closer to each other, the Belt and Road Initiative will encourage solidarity, mutual respect and mutual trust between countries and inspire our people to work together to build a harmonious and peaceful world,” Chinese President Xi Jinping shared his sagacious insights for peaceful development in the toast at the welcoming banquet of the first Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation (BRF) two years ago. The initiative embodies the yearning for peace and stability, added Xi, whose words also represent a common aspiration of all parties to build the Belt and Road into a road of peace.
