BEIJING, Dec. 6 (Xinhua) -- President Xi Jinping returned to Beijing on Thursday after state visits to Spain, Argentina, Panama and Portugal, and attending the 13th Group of 20 (G20) summit in Buenos Aires.

Chinese President Xi Jinping’s state visit to Portugal is of great importance to enhance the Portugal-China comprehensive strategic partnership, said Portuguese Prime Minister Antonio Costa in a recent interview with People’s Daily. The Portuguese Prime Minister hoped that through Xi’s visit, both countries can make joint efforts to promote sustained economic growth driven by openness, innovation and technology, so as to better benefit the two peoples.
