Zhao Leji was elected secretary of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI) of the Communist Party of China (CPC) on Wednesday. Zhao was elected at a plenary session of the CCDI, at which the CCDI also elected its deputy secretaries and Standing Committee members.
The following is a list of members of the Secretariat of the 19th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC): Wang Huning, Ding Xuexiang, Yang Xiaodu, Chen Xi, Guo Shengkun, Huang Kunming, and You Quan. They were nominated by the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the 19th CPC Central Committee and approved at the first plenary session of the 19th CPC Central Committee on Wednesday.
Xi Jinping led the other members of the Standing Committee of the 19th Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee Political Bureau to meet the press Wednesday at the Great Hall of the People. The other members are Li Keqiang, Li Zhanshu, Wang Yang, Wang Huning, Zhao Leji and Han Zheng.
