As one national 3A level scenic spot, Jingshui Village is one of the core components of national Longzhong Scenic Area. Sitting along Hubei Provincial No. 305 Road, Jingshui Village is in the south of Nanzhang County of Xiangfan City and 37 kilometers away from Xiangfan City. Jingshui Village is the place where Sima Hui lived reclusively. In 206, Liu Bei was chased by army force in Xiangyang and, at critical juncture, his horse magically ran across Tan Brook to take him to Shuijing Village, where Sima Hui told Liu Bei “as long as you can gain the assistance of Crouched Dragon or Fledging Phoenix, you can govern the nation.” So, that encounter led to not only later legends like Three Humble Visits to Hatched Cottage and Longzhong Plan, but today’s fervor towards the Three Kingdom culture tourism.
Covering an area of 60 hectares, Shuijing Village has more than 50 scenic spots, including cultural scenic spots like Shuijing Relic, Hatched Cottage, Serene Residency, Wenbi Peak, Xu Shu Temple; natural scenic spots like Baima Cave, Mysterious Valley, Jade Screen Waterfall; memorial architectural complex like Shuijing Temple, General Pavilion, Sima Hui Legend Stele Corridor; and animal wonders like Ash Stork Chorus, Naughty Squirrel Forest, etc. Shuijing Village remains a diversely mixed retreat for leisure-seeking, sight-seeing and holiday-making. More than 10 precious cultural heritages of Han Dynasty, near 100 pieces of verses and articles, 50 steles, 100 calligraphy and painting works, 50 couplets, which are produced 1,000 years ago, are on display in Shuijing Village.
