Hebei province is aiming for high-quality development to promote construction of Xiongan New Area.
The province will focus on supply-side reform and accelerate the reform of quality, efficiency, and dynamics in a bid to promote healthy and sustainable economic and social development.

Build Xiongan New Area to the highest standards
Hebei will strive for early approval of each plan, and implement preliminary projects such as transportation and comprehensive treatment of Baiyang Lake, the largest freshwater lake in northern China. In addition, the Xiongan New Area will also prepare for the reception of non-capital functions to ease the pressure of Beijing.
Promoting winter sports and Olympic economy
The province will accelerate the construction of 2022 Winter Olympics infrastructure projects, including the arena and high-speed rail. A total of 24 new projects including the Olympic Village will be commenced, and forestation of core gaming areas and major boulevards will also be carried out. Hebei is planning to make winter sports a name card for Zhangjiakou, and will support cross-industry development of sports.
New round of cooperation with Beijing and Tianjin
The province will seek new breakthroughs in three major areas: transportation integration, joint ecological cooperation, and industry upgrading. The province will expand cooperation with Beijing and Tianjin in education, medical services, culture, sports, social security, and employment. The gap of public services in Beijing and Tianjin perimeter zones will be narrowed. In addition, the construction of the airport economic zone of Beijing Daxing International Airport will be started and major strategic platforms such as Caofeidian District and Bohai New Area will be further strengthened.
