Mexico Tightens Security for Bush-Fox Meeting
Mexican and US police are beefing up security for the meeting between US President George W. Bush and Mexican President Vicente Fox next Friday in San Cristobal in the central Mexican state of Guanajuato.
In the ranch owned by Vicente Fox where the two leaders will hold their talks, police agents from the two countries scrutinized the whole place while workers installed telephone and electricity cables, according to radio broadcasts.
Fox said that he would discuss with Bush bilateral trade, the conditions of Mexicans in the United States and drug trafficking.
Bush's trip to Mexico will be his first state visit since he assumed office on January 20.
Mexico is the United States' second largest trade partner behind Canada, while the United States is the largest trade partner of Mexico.
