Joseph Yam Chi-kwong, former chief executive of the Hong Kong Monetary Authority, said Hong Kong's status as an international financial center is solid, when addressing concerns about foreign companies withdrawing capital.
“If Hong Kong's social environment returns to being normal and safe, Hong Kong's status as an international financial center is solid will be actually strengthened,” he said. “Foreign capital or foreign fundraisers will not ignore such a great platform in Hong Kong.”
