Garment factory turns into isolation clothing manufacturer in just seven days

An ordinary clothing company located in Quzhou county, Handan city in northern China’s Hebei province, has transformed itself into a manufacturer of isolation clothing in just seven days.

In normal times, the main business of Hebei Aoshuo Clothing Co., Ltd is garment production, but it has now been transformed into a manufacturer of isolation clothing during the combat against the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

"Without government assistance, we could not have set up our current business. During the process of approval due to the change of production line, the relevant departments came to the factory directly for office work and approval, and the whole process was completed in just two days,” said Lyu Wenxiang, general manager of the company.

Lyu added that every aspect of the transition has been inseparable from the government's help, from qualification approval to raw material procurement, in what is essentially the equivalent of building a new business in just seven days.

"We had specially assigned people to assist in factories and provide nanny-style services…so as to help enterprises quickly complete the production transition,” said Zhang Tao, director general of the development and reform bureau in Quzhou county.
