Medical transferring team members from Shanghai and Inner Mongolia get ready to transfer patients from a hospital affiliated to Wuhan University of Science and Technology, in Wuhan, central China's Hubei Province, March 14, 2020. Since the novel coronavirus outbreak, 32 medical transferring teams from different provinces have rushed to Wuhan to fight at the frontline. Exposed to the danger of infection, they shuttle between hospitals and medical treatment stations around the clock to make sure that patients are transported to designated places in time. From Feb. 12 to March 10, a total of 7,343 infected patients, including 2,464 with severe symptoms, have been transferred. According Liu Yi, head of the Shanghai medical transferring team, his team ran approximately 20 trips to transfer over 100 patients a day during the hardest time. "It's not easy. Nonetheless, to transfer the patients without accident is our crowning glory." For them, it's a great joy to see the decrease of patients heading for ICUs, which also make their work become easier.
