BEIJING, Feb. 20 (Xinhua) -- Eight more people were discharged from hospital in Beijing Thursday after they recovered from novel coronavirus pneumonia (COVID-19).
Beijing reported two new confirmed cases of infection Wednesday, bringing the total to 395, health officials told a press conference Thursday.
The city also reported 25 new suspected cases Wednesday, raising the total to 125.
Two COVID-19 individuals confirmed Monday and a hospitalized patient who tested positive Tuesday in the nucleic acid detection at Peking University People's Hospital have been transferred to a designated hospital for treatment.
As of 6 p.m. Wednesday, a total of 36 people had tested positive by nucleic acid detection, with 34 confirmed cases of COVID-19, at Beijing's Fuxing Hospital of the Capital Medical University.
The 36 people include eight medical workers, nine health care workers and cleaners, and 19 patients and their family members.
