BEIJING, Oct. 31 -- A senior official of the Communist Party of China (CPC) has stressed the importance of studying and implementing the principles of the fourth plenary session of the 19th CPC Central Committee.

Huang Kunming, a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and head of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, made the remarks Thursday evening at a teleconference held by the department on the task.

The session, which was held from Monday to Thursday, reviewed and adopted the CPC Central Committee's decision on some major issues concerning how to uphold and improve the system of socialism with Chinese characteristics and advance the modernization of China's system and capacity for governance.

The decision has demonstrated the broad vision and strong sense of responsibility of the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at the core, and has reflected new requirements for the development of the cause of the Party and the country, as well as new expectations of the people, Huang said.

Huang called for efficient publicity efforts to foster an atmosphere within the Party and throughout the society conducive to studying and implementing the principles.
