Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi said China would further cooperation with seven Central and Eastern European countries to realize win-win results at a reception held in Beijing on Oct. 16, 2019.

During the reception, held at the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse, Wang Yi recalled the last 70 years of cooperation with seven Central and Eastern European countries, namely Bulgaria, Romania, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Poland and Albania, in areas including culture, education, economy and politics. He said that thanks to joint efforts spanning 70 years, China has established strong cooperative relations with all seven countries. The trade volume between these seven countries and China reached 70 billion U.S. dollars last year, accounting for nearly 80 percent of China’s trade with 17 Central and Eastern European (CEE) countries.

“No matter how the international environment may change and how dynamism may work, we should, and we will, keep our strategic focus and continue in the right direction with international friendship and cooperation,” he added.
