GUIYANG, Aug. 28 (Xinhua) -- An international alcoholic beverages expo to be held in southwest China's Guizhou Province in September has invited Italy as the country of honor, the provincial government said Wednesday.

Organized by the Ministry of Commerce and the provincial government of Guizhou, the expo will be held on September 9-12.

The organizing committee said more than 20 Italian wineries from Tuscany, Umbria and Veneto will showcase their products to Chinese purchasers.

The expo will serve as a platform for the exchange of wine cultures and the cooperation between the global wine industry and the whole industrial chain, according to the committee. Enditem
