As the long-expected Beijing Daxing International Airport construction closes to an end, a new set of photos of its inner environment has given the public something to look forward to.

Previously released aerial photos of Beijing Daxing International Airport already stirred public interest, revealing that the new airport resembles a soaring phoenix with its wings spread wide.

With the newly-released photo set, the airport again caught the public eye. The inner design of the airport is very streamlined and concise, and very well-designed. Also, the airport primarily uses natural light and is very well-lighted, highlighting its environmentally-friendly design philosophy.

According to the current plan, construction of the principal part of Beijing Daxing International Airport will be completed by June 30th this year and it will be open for operation by September 30th.

The airport was engineered to be a super-large international aviation integrated transportation hub, serving 100 million people by 2040. It is a major national project to push the coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, and also a significant gateway for the Belt and Road Initiative.
