The 13th China Yunnan Pu'er Tea International Expo was held in Pu'er from August 26 to 28.

More than 1,400 years ago, Pu'er opened up five "tea-horse roads".

Now Pu'er has a total tea plantation area of 3.02 million acres, including modern tea plantations measuring 1.64 million acres, wild ancient tea tree communities measuring 1.2 million acres and ancient tea plantation measuring 180,000 acres. There are currently 1.3 million tea growers in Pu'er. In 2017, Pu'er's tea industry registered an output value of RMB 23.1 billion, ranking first in Yunnan whether in area or in output.
