In order to prevent soil pollution from the root, under the technical guidance of the Municipal Soil and Fertilizers Work Station, the Tea and Special Bio-Industry Bureau of Simao District of Pu'er City conducted a “fertility test” on the organic tea plantations in the core demonstration area of the project. Through a series of experiments on different organic fertilizers, substitution of manure with less chemicals, monitoring of soil quality in tea gardens, etc., data were collected to understand the effects of different organic fertilizers on soil improvement and tea yield, and to grasp changes in physical and chemical properties, production capacity and environmental quality of soils. The project provides supporting evidences for scientific fertilization in organic tea gardens.
