Tan Fulin, a 65-year-old man who lives in Zhangjiajie, central China’s Hunan Province, is famous for making copper pots by hand.
There are nearly 100 processes involved in making just one copper pot, and it can take between eight and ten days to make such a pot, said Tan.
Tan added that due to the complicated procedure, he and his son can only make 60 to 70 copper pots per year. He hopes the traditional manual skills of making pots in this way could be protected and passed down through generations.
