According to statistics, there had been 1.3 million tea growers in 10 counties (districts) of Pu'er by late 2017, accounting for 50 percent of Pu'er's total population. By late 2017, there had been 1.65 million mu of tea plantations in Pu'er, and Pu'er had achieved a dry raw tea output of 114,700 tons and an output value of 23.136 billion yuan.
