China Railway Design Corp has publicized an environmental impact report on the high-speed railway that links Beijing and the Xiongan New Area, a new development area southwest of the capital, news portal sohu.com reported on Sunday.
The report gave detailed coverage of the layout of stations and the direction of the railway, which will cover 92 kilometers and have five stations. The railway will run through the new airport in southern Beijing. Plans for related railways, including one linking with Tianjin in North China, were also disclosed.
The high-speed railway station will be located in the northeastern part of Xiong county and will be built into the traffic hub of the New Area.
Construction of the railway is expected to be launched in March and finished by 2020.
