The AI doctor is mainly used to provide doctors with assistance in medical diagnosis and making follow-up therapeutic schedules, said Liang Huiying, director at the hospital’s clinical data center.

Liang introduced that, at present, doctors usually give feedback on diagnostic results recommended by the AI doctor to upgrade its diagnostic abilities.

As for the next step, the AI doctor will continue to learn how to diagnosis more diseases and is expected to communicate with patients through a voice interaction system, Liang disclosed.
