Zhou Lin, an optimistic young woman born in 1988 who touched many netizens by keeping a diary recording her fight against cancer, passed away on Nov. 27, said her relatives, newssc.org reported.

Her last wish was to donate the final donations she received from society for her treatment, in the hope to help more people in need, according to her family.

Zhou stayed strong during her treatment, but her condition worsened several days ago.

She expressed thanks to her parents for bringing her into this beautiful world and to those who helped her during her illness. She also donated her corneas.

In late June of 2015, Zhou was diagnosed with breast cancer by a hospital in Sichuan province. The tough young woman did not let the economic burden and torture of operations, several rounds of chemotherapy, and radiotherapy get her down, and she shared her experience with cancer by keeping a diary.

Her diary was later posted online by friends and read by many people, all of whom were touched by Zhou’s optimism.
