Glutinous rice in Pu’er

Glutinous rice is one of extremely popular snacks to Pu’er people. The locals triturate sliced dried beef and various spices and add them to the glutinous rice. On the street tourists may see many small restaurants selling freshly cooked glutinous rice. A large number of spices can be added to the glutinous rice, such as meat, salted vegetables and peanuts.
