The trunk of an ebony tree buried for thousands of years was recently discovered in a river near Yangjia Village, eastern China's Jiangxi province.
Weighing nearly 30 tons, the tree part is 17 meters in length with a maximum circumference of 5.05 meters. The tree lived for at least 500 years and was buried for some 3,000 years.
