China's policy on the Korean Peninsula nuclear issue will not change, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying said on Thursday.

Hua said China has been always playing an active and constructive role in dealing with the Korean Peninsula nuclear issue.

"China's policy on the Korean Peninsula nuclear issue is consistent and continuous and will not change. It's of no use to pressure, bamboozle and even threaten [China]," said the spokeswoman.
