UAV Show China opens in Beijing

The 8th UAV Show China hosted exhibitors and audiences at Zhongguancun Science Park in Beijing on June 16. Jointly organized by the China Center for Aerospace Science Technology International Communications and the Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems of China, the show saw more than 500 drone and drone-related pieces of equipment from 102 enterprises, which hailed from six countries and regions. This year's show was larger than any before it.

The “manned” drones from Sun Hawk (Henan) Aviation Industry were a pull for many visitors, as they boast the ability to transport an adult man via autogiro (a rotary-wing aircraft with a propeller) or multi-rotor drone. According to the company, such “manned” drones are expected to be deployed for medical rescues.

An employee of the company told the People’s Daily Online that they hope to cooperate with the Red Cross after their products finish testing. He said that the biggest advantage of their drones is that they offer a more economical option, as they are cheaper than helicopters and do not require a pilot on board.
