The Air Quality Index (AQI) of downtown Simao in 2016 ranged from 16 to 105. Air quality was monitored for 366 days throughout the year, including 261 days rated "excellent", 104 days rated "good" and one slightly-polluted day, with a good air rate of 99.7%.
