To attract more tourists, tea plantations in Xuan'en County have started to develop a tourism infrastructure. Now, tea is regarded as a means of poverty reduction among locals. In January 2017, the Wujiatai Tea Culture and Tourism Zone was rated as a national AAAA-Level scenic spot by the National Tourism Administration.
