Tea brings wealth to growers in central China

Tourists pick tea leaves at a tea plantation in Xuan'en County, central China's Hubei province, on March 22. Wujiatai tea, a famous specialty of the province, has entered its harvest season. To attract more tourists, tea plantations in Xuan'en County have started to develop a tourism infrastructure. Now, tea is regarded as a means of poverty reduction among locals. In January 2017, the Wujiatai Tea Culture and Tourism Zone was rated as a national AAAA-Level scenic spot by the National Tourism Administration.
