MINSK, March 17 -- The largest Belarusian export-import insurer Beleximgarant and Chinese company Sinosure have signed a cooperation agreement, the Belarusian company said on Friday.

CEO of the Beleximgarant Gennady Mitskevich said the document will help attract Chinese investments to Belarus and will set up a platform for the discussion of joint Belarus-China projects involving instruments to insure financial risks.

The Belarusian side welcomes the document and hopes the two companies will co-promote the products of the resident companies of the Chinese-Belarusian industrial park Great Stone in third countries.

Head of Sinosure Representative Office in the CIS Xie Zhongmin said China and Belarus are strategic partners and have very friendly relations. The document can help propel economic cooperation to the next level, he added.

Beleximgarant is one of the largest insurers in Belarus, offering more than 50 types of insurance services that cover a wide variety of risks in the sphere of property and personal insurance, liability insurance.
